Steel Seed, the upcoming stealth-action game from Storm in a Teacup, officially launches on April 10, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A free demo is already live on Steam, giving players an early peek at this grim, atmospheric sci-fi experience.
Set in a post-cataclysmic future, you’ll play as Zoe, one of the last human survivors. With only her flying drone KOBY at her side, she must explore a sprawling underground facility built and controlled entirely by machines — a world designed to preserve life, but not human life.
Stealth, Strategy, and Parkour
At its core, Steel Seed is all about stealth and smart movement. Unlike typical action games, combat isn't always the answer. Zoe can sneak past enemies, distract patrols using KOBY, and utilize the environment to her advantage. But when confrontation is unavoidable, you'll have tools and tactics to fight back.
Movement plays a big role - Zoe’s parkour abilities allow you to climb, leap, and maneuver fluidly through both narrow corridors and open vertical spaces. This adds speed, agility, and creativity to exploration and combat alike.
A Sci-Fi World Built to Challenge You
The setting is what really makes Steel Seed stand out. Described as a “planet-sized machine,” the game world is a cold, mechanical labyrinth filled with eerie biodomes, decaying tech, and dangerous secrets. It's hostile, beautiful, and packed with environmental storytelling.
To bring this world to life, the developers brought in BAFTA-winning writer Martin Korda, promising a narrative filled with emotional depth and big questions - about humanity, AI, and survival.
Whether you’re here for the tense stealth gameplay or the moody, thought-provoking worldbuilding, Steel Seed is shaping up to be a standout indie release this April.
